PREVENT COVID is no longer enrolling new subjects in the study. We are continuing to follow the more than 3,000 vaccinated adults and children previously enrolled in PREVENT COVID.
PREVENT COVID is studying how well the COVID-19 vaccine works in adults and children with IBD.
What is PREVENT COVID?
People with IBD are often treated with immunosuppressive medications, which excluded them from the COVID-19 vaccine trials. This means we don't have as much information about how well the vaccine works for people with IBD.
We are following the almost 3,500 volunteers who enrolled in PREVENT COVID over 18-months to better understand: how well the vaccine works, side effect, and whether the vaccine impacts IBD activity.
