Annual National Student Research Forum . The primary purpose of the National Student Research Forum is to provide a national scientific assembly, planned and managed by students for presentation of research by medical students, graduate students, interns and residents in the biomedical sciences. The Forum provides an opportunity for young health scientists to receive critical analysis and recognition of their research efforts from established scientists. American Medical Women's Association Carroll L. Birch Award: The student must be a student member of the AMWA. The student must submit an original research paper and abstract. For further information please contact: Marie Glanz at AMWA.

American Society for Clinical Nutrition Young Investigator Award. The purpose of the Young Investigator Award Competition is to promote interest in clinical nutrition and to encourage excellence in research papers presented by Young Investigators who are stil in training in graduate and medical schools. Each Young Investigator must be sponsored by a mentor who is a member of the American Society for Clinical Nutrition. Deadline is in November.

Student Scientific Abstracts - American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons The ACFAS proudly support the advancement of student research projects. A forum at the Annual Meeting for the presentation of new and innovative research currently being peformed by podiatric students. Airfare and hotel accommodations for students presenting papers will be provided.

Call for Abstracts: 55th Convention of the American Medical Student Association will be held in Washington DC, March 16 to 20, 2005. Medical students are invited to submit abstracts in the following areas: Basic Research, Clinical Research, Community Service, Health Policy, and Medical Education. Abstracts for poster sections are due February 14, 2005.
